Judging J and Beyond Success
Written by Jeremy Wilken
How do you judge the success of a conference? This past weekend I was at J and Beyond, the first international Joomla conference ever. It was in Wiesbaden, Germany, May 30-June 1. See the website at http://jandbeyond.org.
I believe you judge the success based on the reaction of the people who attended. What a reaction I've seen online, as well as in person at the event. I don't know how many times I heard people talking about how great the event was, but then it started to show up online as blog posts, videos, and social media chatter.
Probably the coolest thing to me is that several people took it upon themselves to interview other attendees, and have posted them online. I've tried to collect some of the chatter here, please feel free to add more in the comments if I missed something.
I'll let you judge for yourself if J and Beyond 2010 was a success, but I'm pretty sure you'll come to the same conclusion as I did very quickly.
